WPGA Policies

The following are guidelines for membership to the Women's Professional Golf Association of South Africa.

WPGA Tour playing Professionals must be:

Females over the age of 18 years
Members of other recognized Professional Golf Associations

or

Amateur golfers who have:
  • A 3 handicap or less
  • Two letters of recommendation from recognized golf Professionals or golfing bodies
  • A total of 8 points accumulated as follows:
    • 5 points for winning a National stroke-play event
    • 3 points for runner-up of a National stroke-play event
    • 1 point for third place of a National stroke-play event *
    • 5 points for South African or other National colours *
* these points will be awarded only once

The Executive Committee reserves the right to make the final decision

Teaching Professionals:
